This is one of my all-time favorite typographic posters that I wanted to share with all you guys!
The message is so strongly displayed and so efficiently constructed that it's impossible to be lost about what is going on, even with everything overlapping so much.

   What do you guys think??

I often see typography with overlapping text to give a double meaning but have yet to find one that tops this, someone challenge me and find one that uses this style even better than this!

This style of typography is what really draws me to this craft. Image heavy compositions while still maintaining a modern, sleek and all together new and fresh design. I've learned in the past few classes that an image can really make or break your project. You might have the best image but if you can't make the type sit well within the image, you might as well start over. I feel like these guys really nailed it with these posters.

Info-Graphic Examples

While browsing Mashable, I stumbled across this info-graphic comparing each state by what is mentioned more on social media. I really loved the typography on this one because it suits a fun, humorous info-graphic such as this one. I also loved the use of colors and icons. Its a pretty simple chart to read and the different shades of colors make it easy to tell which states value what and how much.

I also really enjoyed this info-graphic on "Thanksgiving Etiquette." Not only does this chart help you determine which fork to use at dinner without awkwardly choosing the the incorrect one, but it also has a clean and straight-forward design. I love the use of typography and illustration as well as the color palette. It even gives instructions on how to create a Turkey out of napkins!

"Linguistic deconstruction" which involves treating the composition's text in particular ways in order to give a "voice" to visual language. To do so, certain phrases or words could be broken apart to bring attention to certain sections. Text can also appear "louder" or "faster" if they are made larger or bolder. Through methods of linguistic deconstruction, associations and meanings can be created from the treatment of the text to form meaning and a natural rhythm of communication.

I found this example to very strong mostly because of the simplicity in the deconstruction, but the weight of the words.

Infographic Resume

I found this infographic on Creative Blog and thought it was very unique and impressive. This is a graphic design resume that would personally catch my eye if I was an employer. It not only shows off her design skills but shows people she is creative and willing to do something out of the ordinary. Personally, I would change the color palette if it was mine, but other than that the simplicity really makes this stand out.

Inforgraphic & Resume Infographic

This inforgraphic that I found is really unique in the fact that it is just type. Most inforgraphics I see at least have some sort of graphic elements in them. The only thing that I wish was different was that at least the top section was justified with the bottom, the You are richer... and If you Have, the centered throws me off but I think it is a great use of type, color and the texture that the type gives off.

This one I found of a resume done like an inforgraphic is super inspiring. The colors and the different type work really well in this instants. I think it is really difficult to find more that 2 or 3 types that can function and work together. He has found a way to add emphasis and with the type and the graphic elements are not that overwhelming.

INFOGRAPHICS

Infographics: graphic visual representations of information, data or knowledge. It allows to represent complex information quickly and clearly.

I wanted find infographics that use typography and I wanted both examples to be different. The first one is about a UNIC mini spider-cane and how much it can lift, to how much it weighs. It's quite interesting! Because of the colors it kinda reminds me of a map? Like the old ones? "x marks the spot" I like that the designer added a graphic effect to big typeface, like the ox horns and the Africa.

The second one is more of a serious topic. It's an anti-abortion infographic. I found this one interesting because of the way the words feel like they're getting sucked into the tube. The use of a gradient on the words also creates a mood. It goes from light to dark? Why? I like the approach of this infographic because instead all the facts and information are ghosted in the background with shades of grey. Probably to make the baby the focal point? To make the reader see that first.
